Cali girl turned New Yorker for superbicoastalhybrid dreams of living in both places at once. Alas, the ocean calls. But Fire Island and Coney Island Mermaid parades and summer travels keep her happy as a citygirl who gets to write and perform her stuff, make art, flirt with spring harder than any socalfolk will ever (it's hard to notice when it's sunny and gorgeous 360 days of the year). So the sex education one woman show continues and supports and teaching med students pelvic exams continues to be fairly unorthodox fantasticly amazing work, and boys turn to girls and girls turn to boys and queer folk abound in the stinky loud gorgeous hungry horny city that hums a tune, and sometimes I'm in step with it, in the groove, moving through and the train comes right when I step onto the platform, and other times I'm angry and everyone's in my way and no one has any sense or sensitivity or manners and the city is ugly and palm trees beckon and I dream on and hide peaceably in my sweet house with orange walls, invite friends over to make some music and soothe the tired wings.
But summer get aways always come just in time and I'm in line now and smiling.
